Legal Counsel

You need to have:

  • Strong Polish language skills (minimum B2 level)
  • Strong English language skills (minimum B2 level), including legal terminology
  • Bachelor's degree in Law is mandatory
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Legal Counsel in a Polish company
  • Knowledge of: polish and applicable EU law; tax, labor, contract, and corporate law; migration and data protection law (RODO/GDPR)
  • Familiarity with public authorities and the ability to navigate legal institutions
  • Experience in internal policy development
  • Knowledge of modern legal tools and document management systems
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Independence in work organization and time management
  • Legal risk assessment and mitigation in corporate and project settings
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability
  • Problem-solving mindset and dedication to continuous improvement
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Will be a plus:

  • Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts; legal review of software development contracts
  • Experience in repairing legal documents (claims, complaints, legal opinions), representing the company in court, administrative bodies, and external legal affairs
  • Experience with participating in international litigation or arbitration

Future responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and align contracts (clients, suppliers, service providers, employment, lease, etc.)
  • Provide legal consultations on commercial, labor, tax, and regulatory matters
  • Develop internal policies, guidelines, and procedures
  • Participate in audits and certification processes
  • Ensure corporate compliance (shareholders' meetings, board resolutions) and maintain corporate documentation
  • Prepare responses to state authorities, banks, and counterparties
  • Represent the company in courts, administrative agencies, and during inspections
  • Defend company interests in legal disputes
  • Identify legal risks and create protection mechanisms
  • Conduct due diligence of partners, contracts, and internal regulations
  • Monitor legal changes and update internal processes accordingly
  • Consult on employment issues (hiring, dismissal, employee relations)
  • Draft employment contracts, internal labor policies, and disciplinary actions
  • Handle registration and protection of IP rights (trademarks, patents, etc.)
