DBA/DBD Specialist (MS SQL server)

You will need:

  • 2 years of experience with MS SQL server
  • confident knowledge of T-SQL
  • problem solving skills at the DBMS level
  • experience in creating backups and maintaining indexes (Maintenance plans)
  • configuring and controlling user access levels in the DBMS
  • monitoring and alerting configuration (Zabbix, Grafana)
  • performance optimisation: analysing query plans, setting DBMS parameters, code refactoring
  • experience in developing database objects (procedures, views, triggers, etc.)
  • experience in creating and customising jobs
  • experience working with cloud platforms: Azure, AWS or GCP
  • experience in updating database versions
  • knowledge of logging and tracing tools (SQL Profiler, Extended Events)
  • skills with version control systems (e.g. Git)
  • English language from B1+ level

Would be a plus:

  • Experience working with any other DBMS (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, etc.), including migrations and version upgrades
  • experience in configuring high availability systems and disaster recovery strategies
  • experience with AlwaysOn SQL Server cluster solutions
  • experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Basic knowledge of Python or other language (for task automation)
  • experience with Microsoft Fabric
  • experience with visualisation tools (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)
